Homework RED+composition

Pictures I chose:

Pictures classmates chose:

                1. The clear difference between the two sets of images that I chose and my classmates chose is the lighting and exposer. The pictures I chose were much brighter and had more direct light on the subjects. The pictures that my classmates chose were much darker and had more of a "glowing" red rather than a popping bright red. The composition of the photos are somewhat similar because of the depth of field and closeup-ness of them.

               2.

Out of the three images, this was my favorite and stood out the most to me. The main reason for that is because of the angle that the photo was taken makes the mountain look natural there. The bottom of the billboard lines up perfectly with the horizon of the landscape, creating the illusion of a lone peak. I really like the color composition in this photo with green on the bottom and blue up top. The green is very dry and looks almost barren but transitions up into the blue from the skyline and the lake at the bottom of the mountain on the billboard which has a hint of irony.
The fence in the foreground stretches to the back toward the horizon drawing your eye to the back of the picture where the sky starts and stretches upward. The clouds in this image are also very interesting because they almost emanate from the billboard. The middle of the picture has clouds closer to the top of the billboard but as you move toward the edges, the clouds bend toward the corners.
