When I was taking this picture I was thinking of verticals with varying exposures throughout the frame. The bottom is split from the top by the one horizontal cut which separates the dark shadows from the highlights. Even though the SLS building is facing away from the sun and is in shadow, it is still bright enough to see detail in the brick. Compositionally, the vines crawling up the side of the building point your eye in the direction of the light source in the top right corner.
